Indonesian stocks finished lower despite continued foreign net inflows as political uncertainties and concerns over economic growth remained lingering. Meanwhile, rupiah improved on Friday.
Jakarta composite index slipped 20.612 points (-0.317%) to 6,474.018 while LQ45 fell 0.46% at 1,021.271. Trading volume were 15.412 billion shares worth of Rp8.103 trillion including transaction of Rp2.16 trillion in negotiation market. Foreign investors purchased a net Rp193.72 billion in regular market. 194 shares rose, while 241 declined, 139 unchanged, and 129 untraded.
According to JISDOR, the currency slipped 24 points (-0.17%) to 14,158 while Spot rate added 55 points (+0.388%) to 14,120.00 against the USD.
Asian and European stocks were mixed on Friday with investors continued to monitor the developments in trade negotiations. In the meantime, investors look ahead for U.S. non-farm jobs report later in the day.
Oil prices were mixed with Brent slipped 17 cents (-0.24%) at $69.23 per barrel while U.S. West Texas Intermediate slipped 4 cents (-0.10%) to $62.04 a barrel.
