
Indonesian stocks rose on Friday tracking gains from global markets while sentiments remain fragile.
Jakarta composite rose 26.654 points (+0.439%) to 6,094.873 while LQ45 slipped 0.19% to 870.202. There were 25.018 billion shares traded worth of Rp11.356 trillion, including transaction of Rp1.097 trillion in negotiation market. Foreign investors purchased a net Rp344.26 billion in regular market. 272 shares rose while 237 declined and 148 unchanged.
During the week, index retreated 30.065 points (-0.52%) with rupiah weakened 0.16%.
PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI), through its subsidiary, PT Integration Network Ekosistem, officially cooperates with telecommunication Infrastructure Company PT Prasetia Dwidharma and railway infrastructure company PT Sarida Utama to accelerate fiber optic network infrastructure projects with a capacity of along the railroad tracks on the island of Java. In Europe, UK gross domestic product grew by 7.5% year-on-year in July 2021, following a 15.2% expansion in the previous month and missing market expectations of 8.0%. Separate ONS data showed Britain’s goods trade deficit hit a seven-month high in July at £12.7 billion, widened by a slowdown in exports to the European Union which have been hit by post-Brexit trade barriers.
Oil prices reversed early losses as tight U.S. supplies offset China reserves sale plan. Brent crude rose $1.19 (+1.67%) at $72.65 per barrel and U.S WTI added $1.10 (+1.61%) at $69.24 barrel. China’s state reserves administration said on Thursday it would release crude oil reserves to the market via public auction to ease the pressure of high feedstock costs on domestic refiners, in a move that was described as a first.
