
Indonesian stocks rallied to their highest close since April 2019, almost sector recorded gains with nearly 2.5 trillion incoming foreign funds.
Jakarta composite rose 65.374 points (+1.019%) to 6,481.77 while LQ45 rose 1.69% to 939.883. There were 28.418 billion shares traded worth of Rp15.604 trillion, including transaction of Rp628 billion in negotiation market. Foreign investors purchased a net Rp1.73 trillion in regular market. 299 shares rose while 209 declined and 152 unchanged.

Chinese Caixin/Markit services Purchasing Managers’ Index rose to 53.4 from 46.7 in August, recovering from the lowest level seen since the height of the pandemic last year.
The trade surplus in Germany narrowed to €10.7 billion in August of 2021 from €11.9 billion a year earlier. It was the smallest trade surplus since May 2020, as exports grew 14.4% to €104.4 billio while imports surged 18.1% to €93.8 billion
Oil prices lifted after the U.S Energy Department said it has no plan ‘at this time’ to tap into U.S. strategic oil reserves to cool the rally in oil prices. Brent rose $1.24 (+1.51%) at $83.26 per barrel and U.S WTI increased $1.26 (+1.61%) at $76.56 a barrel. U.S. crude inventories rose by 2.3 million barrels last week, against expectations for a modest dip of 418,000 barrels, the U.S. Energy Department said.
