D’ORIGIN Advisory, Louisa Rahardjo – Indonesian stocks traded flat on Monday with investors continued focus on earnings.

 

Jakarta composite added 3.144 points (+0.054%) to 5,840.44 while LQ45 added 0.21% at 918.36. Trading volume were 8.892 billion shares worth of Rp5.995 trillion including transaction of Rp1.26 trillion in negotiation market. Foreign invstors sold a net Rp149.56 billion in regular market. 193 shares rose, while 214 declined, 133 unchanged and 128 untraded.

 

According to JISDOR, the currency climbed 29 points (+0.19%) to 15,192 while spot rate added 5 cents (+0.03%) at 15,180.00 against the USD.

 

Asian market were rose with Shanghai composite jumped more than 4%, extending Friday’s rally after Chinese authorities expressed support for the stock market and positive economic fundamentals following the release of weaker-than-expected GDP data. Meanwhile in Europe, stocks were higher with investors remain focus on earnings. No significant data release on Monday.

 

Oil prices edged up ahead U.S. sanctions against Iran’s oil exports that will start on November 4. Brent crude added 12 cents (+0.15%) at $79.90 per barrel while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 13 cents (+0.19%) at $69.25 per barrel.
