D’ORIGIN – Louisa Rahardjo and Veni Fitriani, Indonesian shares tumbled for a second day following the Fed’s policy decision and weak Indonesia manufacturing data, sending index to a four-month low.
Jakarta composite index fell 87.574 points (-1.374%) to 6,286.848 while LQ45 slumped 1.44% at 992.431. Trading volume were 6.552 billion shares worth of Rp4.474 trillion including transaction of Rp1.025 trillion in negotiation market. Foreign investors sold a net Rp297.13 billion in regular market during midday trade. Only 91 shares rose, while 332 declined, 93 unchanged, and 193 untraded.
According to JISDOR, rupiah fell 37 points (-0.26%) at 14,282 while Spot rate declined 25 points (-0.18%) against the USD.
Asian stocks were mixed with investors await news on trade talks and U.S. nonfarm payrolls set to be released later on Friday stateside. Markets in Japan and China remain shut on Friday.
Oil prices extended declines with Brent declined 38 cents (-0.54%) at $70.37 per barrel while U.S. West Texas Intermediate fell 24 cents (-0.39%) to $61.57 a barrel.
