D’ORIGIN – Louisa Rahardjo and Veni Fitriani, Indonesian shares traded sideways on Friday morning session following two-day losses with investors continued to watch earnings and political development in the country.
Jakarta composite index added 2.901 points (-0.046%) to 6,375.688 while LQ45 added 0.01% at 1,005.168. Trading volume were 8.112 billion shares worth of Rp3.527 trillion including transaction of Rp534.89 billion in negotiation market. Foreign investors sold a net Rp380.71 billion in regular market during midday trade. 200 shares rose, while 192 declined, 133 unchanged, and 185 untraded.
According to JISDOR, the fell 34 points (-0.24%) to 14,188 while Spot rate slipped 5 points (-0.04%) to 14,185.00 against the USD.
Asian stocks fell Friday as earnings season continued while concerns over global risks remained lingering. In the meantime, investors watch closely to U.S. first quarter GDP growth due Friday local time.
Oil prices dipped with Brent slipped 17 cents (-0.23%) at $74.18 per barrel while U.S. West Texas Intermediate fell 31 cents (-0.48%) to $64.90 a barrel.
