
Indonesian stocks finished sideways in Friday trade with foreign capital returned to equity markets.
Jakarta composite slipped 0.16 points (-0.003%) to 6,139.492 while LQ45 rose 0.65% to 851.387. There were 19.339 billion shares traded worth of Rp13.593 trillion, including transaction of Rp1.429 trillion in negotiation market. Foreign investors purchased a net Rp590.9 billion in regular market. 198 shares rose while 319 declined and 141 unchanged.
Sales of LSIP in the first half of this year rose 39% yoy to Rp2.18 trillion, mainly in line with the increase in sales volume and average selling price of palm products. Net profit for the period increased 445% yoy to Rp501 billion.

On commodity market, China imported 30.18 million tonnes of coal in July, up 15.62% from 26.1 million tonnes in 2020, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs on August 7. The import volume was 6.29% higher than 28.39 million tonnes in June.
Gold inched up amid choppiness in US dollar post recent gains as mixed inflation readings has added to uncertainty about Fed’s monetary tightening. In cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin prices today plunged more than 2% lower to $44,962 after surging as high as $46,233 in the last 24 hours.
Oil prices extended losses after the IEA warned that demand growth for crude and its products had slowed sharply as surging cases of Covid-19 worldwide has forced governments to revive restrictions on movement. Brent crude declined 35 cents (-0.52%) at $70.94 per barrel and U.S WTI fell 49 cents (-0.71%) at $68.60 barrel.
