Take A Trip Through Stock Exchanges Around The World ...D’ORIGIN Advisory, Louisa Rahardjo and Veni Fitriani – Indonesian shares fell on Wednesday as trading resumed after a holiday following selloff on Wall Street overnight.

 

Jakarta composite retreated 57.245 points (-0.953%) to 5,948.052 with LQ45 fell 1.15% at 945.331. Trading volume were 8.341 billion shares worth of Rp8.172 trillion including transaction of Rp1.085 trillion in negotiation market. Foreign investors sold a net Rp579.6 billion in regular market. 146 shares rose, while 292 declined, 109 unchanged and 133 untraded.

 

According to JISDOR, the currency fell 32 points (-0.22%) to 14,618, while Spot rate slipped 15 points (-0.10%) at 14,600.00 against the USD.

 

Asian stocks were mixed following steep losses in U.S. markets. Meanwhile, Europeans opened higher, climbing from yesterday’s selloff with investors continued watching the development of U.S. – China trade disputes.

 

Oil prices picked up after tumbling 6% overnight after the American Petroleum Institute reported late on Tuesday that U.S. commercial crude inventories last week fell unexpectedly by 1.5 million barrels, to 439.2 million, in the week to Nov. 16.. Brent crude added 63 cents (+1.01%) to $63.16 per barrel while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures added 97 cents (+1.82 %) to $54.40per barrel.
