D’ORIGIN Advisory, Louisa Rahardjo and Veni Fitriani – Indonesian stocks finished slightly lower Tuesday after swinging between gains and losses following its three-day winning streak amidst a lack of major moving sentiments in equity markets.

 

Jakarta composite slid 9.189 points (-0.153%) to 6,013.589 with LQ45 slipped 0.23% at 960.695. Trading volume were 10.851 billion shares worth of Rp9.297 trillion including transaction of Rp2.31 trillion in negotiation market. Foreign investors purchased a net Rp346.35 billion in regular market. 183 shares rose, while 227 declined, 131 unchanged and 140 untraded.

 

According to JISDOR, the currency added 47 points (+0.32%) to 14,504, while Spot rate slipped 40 points (-0.28%) at 14,510.00 against the USD.

 

Asian markets were mixed while Europeans opened lower on Tuesday with investors are looking ahead at a highly anticipated meeting between President Xi Jinping and President Donald Trump at the upcoming G-20 summit following Trump’s comment that he’ll likely push forward with plans to increase tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese goods.

 

Meanwhile, oil prices resumed losses after Saudi Arabia raised oil production to an all-time high in November, pumping 11.1 million to 11.3 million barrels per day during the month. Brent crude fell 69 cents (-1.14%) to $59.79 per barrel while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures slipped 69 cents (-1.34%) to $50.94 per barrel.
