Indonesian Stocks Rebounds, Every Sector Trades Higher.

Indonesian stocks climbed on Friday after a two-day losing streak with investors reacted to a slew of upbeat earnings.

Jakarta composite rose 67.27 points (+1.031%) to 6,591.346 with LQ45 also jumped 1.03% to 952.585. There were 24.275 billion shares traded worth of Rp12.936 trillion, including transaction of Rp1.287 trillion in negotiation market. Foreign investors purchased a net Rp240.76 billion in regular market. 327 shares rose while 188 declined and 152 unchanged.

On 3Q21 earnings today,

•             BMRI net profit increased 37.1% yoy to Rp9.2 trillion.

•             MARK net profit increased 207% yoy to Rp276.24 billion.

•             SMCB net profit increased 4.7% yoy to Rp459.11 billion.

•             HMSP net profit decreased 10.54% yoy to Rp12.73 trillion.

•             HRME net profit increased 18.2% yoy to Rp41.9 billion.

•             MGRO net profit increased 233.39% yoy to 49.5 billion.

•             DSNG net profit increased 162% yoy to 424 billion.

According to JISDOR released Friday afternoon, Rupiah strengthened 28 points (-0.20%) at 14,171 while spot rate added 5 points (+0.04%) to 14,165.

Stocks in Asia and Europe were mostly lower following economic data from U.S. and disappointing U.S. tech earnings.

Australia’s retail sales rose 1.3% month-on-month in September on a seasonally adjusted basis, according to data released Friday by the country’s Bureau of Statistics.

In Europe, preliminary estimates showed Consumer Price Index in the Euro area increased 0.80% in October of 2021 over the previous month. Annual inflation rate jumped to 4.1% in October of 2021 from 3.4% in September and higher than market forecasts of 3.7%.

An overnight data showed U.S. economy grew at a 2% annualized pace in the third quarter, its slowest increase since the end of the 2020 recession. Meanwhile, Jobless claims dropped by 10,000 to 281,000, lowest since mid-March 2020, the Labor Department said Thursday.

Oil prices were mixed with Brent up 2 cents (+0.02%) at $82.83 per barrel and U.S WTI declined 17 cents (-0.21%) at $82.61 a barrel.
